Congratulations Joe LaMothe 2019 GPF National Poker Champion
Joe Lamothe scored a repeat of last years National Championship and secured the 2019 title with a 5th place finish at the World Series of Poker's June 19th Seniors event. Congratulations to everyone that cashed during their 2019 Vegas vacations.
Players with invitations to the GPF National Championship may compete in any of the Daily Deep Stack tournaments or No Limit Holdem bracelet events during Poker's World Series at the Rio, Las Vegas during the summer of 2019. Players may compete in as many tournaments as they have invitations. IE: You won two Venue Championships; you may compete in four tournaments in your bid for the GPF National Championship. At the conclusion of competition GPF will review the player rankings as published by the good folks at the World Series. The player with the highest cash out (payout - buyin) in a single event will be crowned "GPF National Champion".
What will you win.... For 2019.. 7 days and 6 nights in Rozvadoz Czech Republic, Airfare and Hotel for Europe's World Series Circuit event to be held in the fall of 2019 and well, the cash... Or, a Vegas Vacation and a $1000 voucher for the 2020 World Series.... Or, $1000 in cash.
Each of the $250 buy-in 1pm Daily Deep Stacks have total payouts of between $200K and $300K with 1st Place typically in the $30K to $40K range. Those are the big dog payouts... howevever, you may compete in ANY of the Daily Deep Stacks which have buy-ins from $150, $200, $250 and $365 or any No Limit Bracelet Event. The choice is yours... the GPF National Champion will be crowned based on highest single game cash out regardless of the amount of the buy-in. Payout - Buyin = Cash Out
National Championship Vouchers may be redeemed ONLY during Vegas Vacation Week. Venue Championship Vouchers may be redeemed in Vegas only on the 18th, 19th and 20th of June, otherwise they may be used during the Last Chance - Pendleton Summer Poker Round up.
GPF National Championship Invitations will be awarded in the following manner:
Venue Champion - 2 Invitations Quarterly Championship - 3 Invitations TOC Championship - 2 Invitations Final Table Quarterly State Championship - 1 Invitation Quarterly TOC Championship - 1 Invitation Name on the Championship Trophy - 1 Invitation forever
Venue Championships are held during the first tournament of each new quarter (Aug, Nov, Feb, May) and are last man standing format. IE: All players can play but only qualified players can become the Venue Champion. Each Venue Champion will receive 2 Invitations to the GPF National Championship
May Venue Champions win a voucher good towards entry into one or more of the Daily Deep Stack tournaments at the Rio Hotel and Casino in June of 2019. Cash Payout is typically between $200k and $300k with the top 18% of the field getting paid.
Top 10 point earners for the quarter at each participating venue qualify. Additionally 15 raffle tickets will be drawn to fill out the final field.
Last Chance - Pendleton Summer Poker Round-up Players that are unable to attend the WSOP or GPF's Vegas Vacation Week have a last chance to utilize their Venue Championship Vouchers in Pendleton at the Wildhorse Casino's Summer Poker Roundup. This year the Summer Poker Roundup runs from Aug 21 thru 25th. GPF will be in Pendleton from the morning of the 23rd thru the morning of the 25th.
Players with Venue Championship vouchers may enter the single table satellite tournaments held each night from 7PM to 12:30AM and each morning from 7AM to 11AM. You will receive the buy-in amount for the satellite, $20, $30, $40, $60. The dealer fee of $3 is paid out of pocket by the player. Your voucher is good until you win or you have exhausted the total amount of your voucher. If you have more than one voucher, you may continue playing satellites until that voucher is exhausted or your have won your satellite. This scenario repeats for each voucher you have.
Pendleton cashes do NOT count towards GPF's National Championship. National Championship Vouchers must be used in Vegas or become forfeit.
